Perhaps Frank and oscar are really good buds and Frank knew oscar would get fired. Then he took the South Carolina job so his bud could take his old job.

my guess (spoiler alert:  i don't have any insidery info), is that frank felt like although he knew his ad was here for the longterm (despite false rumors that his ad was licking his chops at any job outside of kansas), he just couldn't commit anything more to the university that gave him his first break into the head coaching scene and instead of getting burn out, he moved on.

who knows.  time to move on like frank did and embrace the moment, go cats and go riley county america, home of the cats.

Frank had recruiting violations stacking up and lots of NCAA cases being made against him and knew that the NCAA priorities were:

1. Penn State
2. Frank Martin
3. All Street Agents
4. Documenting what socks RGIII is wearing this week
5. Mob Wives episodes catch up
6. Predicting what socks RGIII will wear next week
7. Planning the '13 tourney

Seeing the writing on the wall and understanding that he had to move before Penn State was resolved, Frank decided to go somewhere outside NCAA's jurisdiction where he could still yell at players/burn houses down as well as coach basketball/cheat a lot.  South Carolina fit both of those needs and now the NCAA can never touch him.  :Frankpopscollar: and John Currie is the innocent bystander that was left to clean up the mess and settle down the victim's(players) and their families.

Frank was pissed about the K-Stateo inferior radio equipment on his call-in show. He chewed Wyatt's ass one night. "This is a joke, Wyatt ! " He thought he was off air when he wasn't.

Frank wanted to go anywhere probably East of here.  Agent tried to get Illinois to talk to him but they wouldn't!  SC was the only place he could have gone.  I don't think Frank had KSU in mind when he left.
