We did go away from the I formation and leads/power running than we did early in the year. I'm sure the logic was that since teams continued to load the box we had to spread and throw, then to blow it up even more Klein was phenominal throwing against Miami and WVU and really good against KU, Tech, and OSU. However, only against UT in his last 4 games did he approach the type of efficiency he had in those games. I'm sure Dimel, Snyder, and Miller had to keep thinking "okay, this drive we're going to get that Collin/K-State passing game back" and it simply didn't happen. I'm sure it would be easy to breakdown how the defensive numbers dictated that passing the ball (still mixed with run of course) was a great strategy, I just think it proved to be too much for Klein to handle. That isn't meant to be a big knock, he was just limited as a passer and I think our coaching staff put more trust in his abilities to throw than they should have.
