pete, i almost started the LOTR trilogy last night, but i was a bit tired so i resisted so that i could give it my full attention.  i even took a picture of the 3 dvd cases to prove i still had plastic wrap on the other 2.

Unless you have some special lady to take out or impress, I firmly believe NYE is merely an excuse for bars/clubs to overcharge their patrons and therefore a waste of disposable income.

NYE is a time for ridiculous drink prices and jam-packed bars filled with (for the most part) idiots that only go out once a year and have no idea how to handle their liquor. The best times I've had are at someone's house, drinking and playing some sort of game. Beer pong, board games, cards, etc. Don't have to worry about anyone driving or spending a stupid amount of money for a watered down gin and tonic.

With that said, I'll be going to bed in a few hours as I drew the short straw and have to be at work by 4:30
