That's not very nice.  If it wasn't for the flooding, losing, ugliness, and general sucking at life, ISU is pretty much the same as KSU.

It really tears them up how much better at sports we are than them.  They want Paul Rhoads to not be a terrible coach so bad.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

A figurative flood of mediocrity, if you will.

More of a drought of success. Formalities...

Sorry Havs. Reminds me of K-State basketball from the early 90s until Huggs.

If ISU was a small kansas town, would Rhoads we be a fanningbrag sign ("home of jet ski champion driver") or "the plant" that provides everyone with middling wages while polluting the town?

Definitely the fanningbrag sign.

They thought he was lining up to be a LHC Bill Snyder, and they can't let go of that notion.  And they truly, truly hate us most of all.  More than Iowa.

A conundrum Felix.

It would be the plant, because Iowans are simple, humble folk.  While they might be allowed a small measure of delusional pride, it is  outsiders that would be taken with the folksy goodness and would rave at the community, unaware of the very real problems within.

It's really hard for them to watch their major sports programs languish in irrelevance while we take center stage in BCS bowl games.  But, hey, what can they do about it?

They have it worse than that because Rhodes consistently gets them to the postseason. If Wooly would have gotten us into the NIT every year instead of getting snubbed, he might still be coaching our basketball team.

If Rhoads had won just one additional game each of his four seasons, we wouldn't even have this conversation.

If Snyder would've won one additional game in each of his 4 seasons, we would have won the north, skipped the pinstripe fiasco, had a share of Big 12/been in BCS, and be playing in the NC.

wanting something in return for giving someone money is gross.

It was a short time ago (2 years?) we got spanked 52-0 by Oklahoma. We are in every game and overachieved every year against a top 10 schedule. We are more than two seasons away from this discussion unless we go a tragic 5-19 or worse in that span.

5-19 is the cutoff line.

Pretty amazing, actually. You should tweet it to super stud Ubben.
