rankings are fun to talk about, but don't really matter.  keep winning and it'll work itself out.

Let's all take a moment to acknowledge that before the season if you told us that we'd be pissed at being ranked 7th we would have blown our rough ridin' minds.

FROM HERE ON OUT, EXPECT TO WIN

I'm pretty sure we would beat any team ranked ahead of us on our home court. Not sure about a neutral court, but I'd like our chances. I think we would beat Alabama on their court.

I didn't know anything about this guy and I looked up some of his highlights. He  seems pretty dominant. What was the last team to win a natty led (to a large degree) by the play of a true center?

Is Anthony Davis a true center?

He was a threat to score away from the basket and had a handle in college, right? Could be considered a center in terms of his elite rebounding and ability to protect the rim, I guess.

Sure, but he faced up quite a bit in college. I think sandstone is talking about a true back to the basket 80s & 90s big. I truly don't know the answer to that question. I do know the last big, like Edey to win MOP was Emeka Okafor. I don't remember that team good enough to know if he was far and away the best player though.

Duke was stacked in 2015 but Jahil Okafor was pretty dominant with a completely old school low post game.

Ben Gordon was an absolute beast that year too.  He was their leading scorer.  Got drafted the pick after Okafor.  And they weirdly had a shitload of really good young bigs backing Okafor up/playing around him.  Charlie Villanueva, Josh Boone and Hilton Armstrong.  All 6-10 or taller and all first rounders.  Crazy.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

Doesn't look like Purdue has any other NBA players on that roster.

Rick Bozich can absolutely get wrecked for putting us at 20. Several incredibly elite writers putting us at 5.
