We'd be a 1 seed, and honestly knocking on the door of the overall 1 seed at that point if that happened. But more to your point we'd be hard pressed to be less than a 2 seed if we have a okish end to the season at that point

I know an elite ranking is what our record calls for but I makes me uneasy. Would rather quietly hang out in the 10 -15 range, rip thru Big 12 tourney and sneak onto the 1 or 2 line for the Big Dance.

I'm glad we have Coach Tang to lead the Wildcat people through the pressure of these stratospheric rankings.

Yes and I'm not sure if I still have a kenpom sub but I would his "luck" rating varies wildly for most coaches every year

Hell, I mean luck is what it takes to get a Natty with the 64+ team format. Tang’s a smart guy—wouldn’t be surprised if he’s got our boys doing luck drills every day.

I've always just assumed that the luck column is a measure of how out of touch Kenpom is. His model always feels like it weighs preseason expectations way too heavily.
