Apocalypse Movie Playlist
« on: December 20, 2012, 11:47:14 AM »
Since the world is ending tomorrow, I've been looking for some flicks that really capture the mood and might help ease me into accepting our fate.  Last night I started off with The Day After - on 2 VHS tapes!!  Tonight after work (why am I still showing up for work, LOL!!) I have I Am Legend, The Road , and 12 Monkeys ready to go.  Still trying to get my hands on The Omega Man.  Anybody else have some good suggestions?

I enjoyed The Book of Eli

I did too.  Haven't rewatched it though, and I feel like the rewatchability of it would be low.

Children of Men is incredible, imo. The scene when Julianne Moore gets shot in the car is like an 8-minute take and I have no idea how they did the camera work for that. The camera is just like floating around inside the car. Not CGI either. HCameraIQ people please fill me in on how that works.

Children of Men.

A Boy and His Dog.

Escape From NY (kinda).

And go with The Last Man on Earth instead of Omega Man. Vincent Price is great.

I watched the Divide a couple weeks ago. The first half is great.

They had a fancy car rig. Basically a big machine that reaches in and around and stuff. I saw a picture a while ago.

its good for rewatching. cause you are thinking about the twist and looking at the stuff he does through the whole movie they do all kinds of stuff that makes it plausible that you couldnt notice the first time

Seems like a lot of work for a movie nobody watched.
