He certainly belongs on the list, what I'm getting at is Shultz isn't less culpable than the other four.

Trim, I imagine you spelling Webber with 2 B's on purpose out of spite, and I like it.

Yeah, that's fine.  I guess I saw Schulz as a guy who didn't help the drowning victim, rather than the one who threw the victim off the cruise ship.  But I'm fine with burning down "Prez Rez."

That's how his first commit spelled it when thanking Webber on twitter, and I figure his recruits would know better than a bunch of kids hiding behind computers in their mamas' basements.

Does all this mean that Matt, shameless in his praise of oscar, gets the first assistant coach vacancy, assuming at least one assistant bails after this season?

Why should the recruits learn how to spell oscar's name when he won't even learn how to pronounce theirs?

So Matt Doherty obviously must think that Frank Martin is an even better coach than oscar Weber, right?  I mean how did Frank win with such crap talent?   :jerk:

I mean, Doherty is basically doing KU a favor here....build every excuse to keep Bill Self's bitch at Kansas State.

St. John asked him that same frank question, setting up a "great coach" response.  What he got was "well, I don't remember who they graduated, but they were some scorers."  So, no.  In one sentence he managed to prove himself Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) or ignorant as well as backing oscar and inferring Frank sucks.

When given an opportunity, Doherty had nothing positive to say about Frank.
He couldn’t stop gushing about Weber, it was sickening.
His credibility was not very good; apparently we have a player named Shannon Spradling.

The more I think about it, “Shannon” is a great name.

wtf? did he really call him shannon spradling? because spradling's dad is named shannon. just what the hell is going on here?

Cal, this thing is starting to stink!

rough ridin' hell. The drama behind k state basketball is truly amazing right now. Like, how the eff did my university get here...

We seriously have to be careful. I feel like the PR machine is already rough ridin' up a lot of your perspectives on this team. Sure, they aren't overly talented by any means but this is a solid team of legit recruits that knows, or at least used to know how to play defense and rebound and pretty much brought everyone back from a good team last year, I mean the fact that people are already chiming in with the no talent bullshit is evidence that oscar really does have some sort of incredible mind control effect on those around him that we really need to keep a rough ridin' eye on. This team should not be sucking this much rough ridin' ass every game; oscar is doing a horrible job with this team.

I agree it is bizarre, but don't all coaches have guys that go on the radio and say things like this for them?

It's not that big of a surprise to me, though I have no idea how oscar and Doherty have a connection.

:dunno:

yes, jeff goodman and the other weird looking dude were frank's

Odds that Goodman was out with Frank checking temperatures or oil or whatever when Frank was at Northeastern?

He was working out Ben Gordon in Chicago at the time. I'm pretty sure he only coaches youth now.

Not that I've ever had much faith in Matt Doherty's opinions...now I have no faith in his opinions.

I love Goodman. Wish we had a stud coach that was buds with him.

I've been a wait-and-see-Weber guy, but this thing just pisses me off.   :flush:

P.S.  Some of those fake Weber ads are really rough ridin' funny.

So, Doherty came back to 810 and recanted?

marginally less infuriating IMO, would have helped if Bukaty pushed him on a few things, wasted my time

Did not listen.

The guy didn't  misdpeak the first go round. His dumbass feelings are his dumbass feelings. One game won't change his perception of us. Especially if seeing us in practice before wasn't a lie.

He is a rough ridin' clown loser.

I'd like to hear the interview this morning. he def meant what he said last week because he repeated himself multiple times in that interview. what did he say different today? his all out attack on Rodney was super weird and he came across as a hired hit man.

Maybe we can hire him to talk crap to various media outlets for bulletin board type motivational tactics to keep up the inspired play from our cats.  I'm hoping next week he can work in some of that spicy Latino race baiting.

SparkNotes at the bottom

-The way Spradling and McGruder played on Saturday, they could start on any team in the country
-They outrebounded a very good Florida team.  That was probably the difference
-Henriquez was a difference maker on defense
-If they play like they did Saturday during Big 12 play, they will probably finish in the 4-5 range in the Big 12
-People say that they basically have the same team back, but they are discounting just how valuable Jamar Samuels was
-Hope KSU fans appreciate oscar
-"I know oscar, but I'm not friends with oscar.  You know, it's not like we're butt buddies (with a weird emphasis on the word 'butt')." -this is an actual quote
-Frank and Huggins did a tremendous job there
-Starting to get a flavor for motion offense, but they have to do it by committee
-The win against Florida validated oscar to the players.
-Gibson is a great screener.  Would take him to lunch everyday just for setting such great screens.  Doesn't have great lift though on offense
-McGruder and Spradling should get good shots as long as the bigs continue to set great screens for them

SparkNotes: He somehow changed his tune on McGruder and Spradling and now loves them.  Not butt buddies with oscar, and wants KSU fans to know that.  Gibson is fat and good at setting screens; should have free lunches daily.  KSU probably will be an upper-third type Big 12 team.
"If i worked for the NY times, and my boss told me 'hey. if you keep ranking ksu so high, we may fire you' i would tell my boss to 'bring it on.'"  -FFF
