2 dead guy ales down and a snow day on its way to meet them!

I have enjoyed snow day this year. I find Rogue brews far too pricey for what they actually bring to the table.
Rogue sucks. Absolutely never ever try their maple bacon ale. A friend of mine bought it. It's ten times worse than it sounds.

yeah, protip, don't ever buy any maple bacon ale you dumbass.
:blank:

FTR, it was only ten times worse than Dead Guy Ale as well. Dead Guy Ale sucks.

guys, 2pm - i think i'll start with a nice starter beer (miller lite or shock top) then move to Tank 7 or bobs 47. then i'll move to liquor, probably some jameson and water. America.

I like to go the other direction.  Start with the quality beer, then move to liquor, then land on the cheap miller lite.  That way you really enjoy the quality beer, by the time I land on the miller lite I don't give a crap if its good or watery.

Man, good time to be had with alcohol last night. Ran into pissclams at the falloon and we shared a shot of rumplemints before parting ways.

who holds the wine glass by the stem on here?

of course.  i judge bowl-holders too.  harshly.

Did you see that he drinks sparkling wine?  That just screams wine cred, doesn't it?  GMAFB.

no, those are great.  and it's perfectly fine to drink wine out of ordinary glasses as well.  but if you're going to have a stem, you rough ridin' use it.

Coffee cup wine is the way to go. Hold that handle and less top heavy.

I don't drink wine, but it's preetty obvious that stemless is for red wine so your hand can warm it, and stems are for white wine, so it doesn't get warm.

So is this going to become our wine thread or should we start a new one?

The worst part about wine (IMO) is that there is no way to really keep it. Say I want a glass of wine on a monday night, but don't plan on drinking again until friday or saturday. That bottle is useless by then.

put it in the fridge.  4-5 days is a little much, but it'll be ok.  if you really need a week to finish a bottle, buy one of those vacuum top things, or just buy boxed wine.

Guys, someone in my facebook feed recommended stockpiling alcohol to barter after the collapse of the fossil-fuel powered economy.

Anyone else using this strategy?

I'm Mormon and don't usually buy alcohol so I would really appreciate everyone's input -- especially regarding types of alcohol that could be stored for a long time and then re-sold even if the economy doesn't collapse.

TIA

You are mormon?  I have so many questions for you.  The first one is, do you get offended easily or can I ask you some questions about your religion?
