Absolutely.  Very hard to give in winter but, between you and me, her current set is not comfortable and ruins my visits to her house.  So is it okay to give a kind of selfish gift here?  I also got her some great Ghiradelli stuff from SF

Yea, I thought about buying her a ticket to fly out and see me (I'm in SD, CA and she is in lovely Topeka, KS). However, my dad might be jealous that he only received a Garmin.

Yankee Candles are my usual default. I pick up one of those, something at bath and body works, a kitchen appliance/utensil, and some other random $20 item and call it good. I use the shotgun approach with my mom.

My mom loves cat bb and the drive there and back w her fav son. So I got her a couple games tix for her and i to attend together and a nice sweatshirt to keep her warm from the car to the fOOD.
