What if the One World Government said you couldn't have Smart Phones, Flat Panel TV's, Ipad's. . . oh, and no private real estate ownership of any kind, and only one brand of really, really bad beer??

What if all able bodied people had to either perform hard labor on a farm or a factory, and the only clothes you could have were issued by the One World Government?

If you aren't a 1% person, then a one world economy and government isn't a bad idea, if it's a representative democracy. The uber rich are the source of all of the world's problems. They must be overthrown every now and then, like in Le Mis (COMING TO A THEATER NEAR YOU!).

P.S. I really do believe the uber rich are the problem.

I think that it is generally because history has shown that a consolidation of power into just a few hands is almost always a bad thing. A one world government would be the epitome of that.

where has history shown that? if anything, history has shown that as the world has become smaller via transportation and communication the government can become less spread out.

the government would be based on democratic and republican philosophies and stuff. who does the president of the world need to oppress? he's president of the world for crying out loud!
