You think this guy is just going to forgo an entire season?

The deadline to enter the 2022 portal was May 1st. There is a waiver process, however given college basketball starts in the fall semester and the fall semester has started at most schools, and he has multiple schools on his list with no scholarships available the safer assumption is that he's a 2023 transfer. I don't really know the scenario in which he would be granted a waiver 4 months after the fact, but I guess anything's possibly.

Also worth noting that Marquis Nowell left UALR in the fall as well. He enrolled at K-State the spring semester before he was eligible to play.

I think he’s listing schools that don’t actually have interest to drive up his perceived demand.  The NCAA is granting everyone’s waivers, if someone wants him he will play this season.

Nowell played his last game at UALR on Feb 5th 2021.

That's right, he left in season. The rest of that applies though. If he transfers this year he'd have to find a program with space, get a waiver, and likely not play until December. Seems far fetched but who knows.
