Also, we have a terrible track record with JUCO players at K-State lately. It's like Mitch and everyone else back in the 80's/early 90's. We haven't had a good JUCO player here in quite sometime. Interested to see how that plays out with Tang and Co.
How dare you slander Blake Young like that

I was under the impression that there haven't been any superstar juco players in a long time for various reasons. So, not an issue unique to us.

The people acting like we’re getting dudes we haven’t been getting previously, are being silly as crap. We might have some higher profile visits coming, but we haven’t closed anyone yet, that’s any different then what we’re use to.

They have yet to lose a player who has visited, obviously it will happen at some point but it hasn't yet. Every player who has visited has either committed here or are still undecided.
Close Davis and Phillips and i'm sold, but I think NIL is still going to be an issue at K-State.

NIL is going to be an issue pretty much everywhere.

NIL is going to make oscar vs Tang pretty impossible to compare as far as recruiting goes, imo.

oscar didn’t cut his hair because of people “cheating”. Tang hired a coach specifically to optimize NIL for players. I don’t think that statement is remotely true.

Cheating and NIL are far different things, for now, lol. oscar embraced NIL, at least publicly, we discussed his comments in contrast to Gene's. No coach, Tang included, is going to be down for the already bastardized version of NIL, even Self has spoken out against this pay-for-play.

Kids are entering the portal with an NIL ask attached, supposedly.  It's grey area free agency.  This, and the reactions to it over the next few seasons, are going to change college sports.  I am not sure how, but I suspect the rich will get much much richer, and the rest will turn in to D3 ball.  Maybe something completely different.  No clue, but I feel comfy saying that they aren't dealing with comparable circumstances now and it's just gonna get more weird as we move forward.

I don't think that honestly changes much. there's not enough money to make much more of an impact than like the best facilities/history had previously

I’m not saying that I did or did not send juju a bag of money, but if I did, what would be the best way of getting it returned to me?

oscar didn’t cut his hair because of people “cheating”. Tang hired a coach specifically to optimize NIL for players. I don’t think that statement is remotely true.

Is "sandy ass" a synonym for brave and virtuous?

I don't know what Tang meant by better players being available later, but snagging anyone testing the NBA draft waters seems like a good thing.

Quote
The next month will be wild. The second wave of high-level transfers will come after the June 1 deadline to stay in the 2022 NBA Draft or return to college. A bunch of stars could opt to run it back, but the teams that scooped up a lot of transfers right at the beginning might not have the room to add a few more even better players.

You guys remember Bullnuts? He actually ended up on Memphis!  :surprised: Mediocre there still but I thought he was going to be good.
