He only went 4 out 1 in when he was left with no other alternative, hopefully he doesn’t go back to the old lineup when they get healthy.

Oscar is running (badly) this 4 out, 1 in offense. It's not working because he can't recruit shooters. And oddly, he is stockpiling bigs with four centers and two forwards currently on the team when as a rule he only puts one big on the floor at a time. And his only recruit so far, another big.
The stock-piled personnel seems designed for a high-low post or double-low post offense. What am I missing?
I bet you're horribly wrong in a year.

I think he's wrong now. The 4 out 1 offense will change this season if oscar stays with it.

As shitty as our bigs have been in the past, I don't mind him stockpiling and then transferring out the garbage.  I really like Bradford and think Linguard has some potential too.

Ez is good too. He's probably the worst of the three offensively but the best defensively. Linguard had a start that won't be forgotten, but he has a game that will be frustrating for a lot. He's a finesse face up big that doesn't like to do the dirty work inside and he can't guard my toddler. Davion is the best of bunch by far, he likes to bang, he's okay defensively, but certainly will get better, he's a poor rebounder. He's also the type of player, until he gets better defensively, who will live in foul trouble, so we absolutely need the depth. Of course the inevitable foot trouble always looms.

Can we sacrifice A Gordon’s foot to appease the gods?

i think that’s just a reflection of how few good bigs there are.  it’s hard to be that big, athletic, yada yada yada

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

For sure. also even with good bigs post ups just aren't very efficient plays. But not sure how many college coaches realize it

After watching today’s game and looking at the stat line... is there a reason our recruits can’t shoot the ball in the basket at a normal percentage?  Just asking for a LBBIQ friend...

Well ksunimrod, stats can be tricky. See here at ksuheupzu, we run a style of offense that thrives on what we call "low percentage shots". These are the types of shots, usually late in the shot clock, where a guy heaves an off balance 3 somewhere between the NBA 3 and the half court line, and often with a hand in their face. Surprisingly, these shots go in at a much lower rate than more traditional shot choices.

This makes total sense now!  I've been practicing that very move my whole life in driveways and on playgrounds (maybe throwing in a few awkward head fakes too...)  and my percentage is basically the same.  I can only conclude there must be some sort of incentive for recruiting non-traditional students of the game?
