So far, we have:
Dakorey Johnson (juco)
Nick Ramirez (hs)
Isaiah Williams (hs)

That would leave us pretty young.  Who else are we after?

Tre needs to not only be back at 100% but to make huge improvements against the pass to be on the field for more than 25% of the snaps.

Sam Johnson...the next great former QB converted to LB! Can't wait to see him throwing up the lynch mob on fools next year.  :lynchmob:

Yeah, as adorable as Tre is, it is pretty clear that our coaches haven't been comfortable with him on the field against the pass.  Possibly Truman?  We've seen very little of him outside of special teams, but when he has played he has looked pretty decent.

Slaughter may be decent. Isn't he like 24 or something?

Walker, Truman, Slaughter have experience. Hopefully someone like Moore or Davis gets into the mix. Then the recruits coming in.

decent players with some experience. so it's not the worst there's ever been, but when you're replacing almost an entire defense, there's not much reason to be super confident. but that's how i felt about the d-line coming into this year.

Yeah I want to say he's like a sixth year senior. At the awards ceremony, they were showing some pretty cool footage of him talking to the team before a game. He seems like one of the emotional leaders of the team. My guess is that it'll be Tre, Slaughter, and maybe Mike Moore or Truman for the third.

Yeah, LB is a concern. But so is CB and defensive line. We lost a lot, we need a lot of new guys to step in and be at least decent.

How often are we going to play with three LB's on the field?

If this year is any indication, then about 10% of the time, and almost never against several of the teams on our schedule.

That probably has as much to do with the quality of the personnel on the field than anything, right?  I mean, I am no Johnny's manager, but it seems that if you have an Arthur and can rely on him to do what Arthur does, you can allocate others elsewhere.  Right?

I can't tell you the best night to run the $.25 wing deal either, but I agree that Arthur made about any play-call a decent one.

we run a lot of nickel (2 lb's), but you have to have at least 4 guys that you can count on constistently. especially with losing arthur.

when in the nickel, randall evans is just as good as any of our LBs against the run.

i sort of tend to forget about evans, but he could potentially have a 'breakout' season next year
