Centralia has a swimming pool (possibly getting a new pool), they also have the team that beat Smith Center in State Football a few years ago. They almost beat Meade this year (Meade is in the running for best town, so almost beating them is a feather in the Centralia cap). Plus, John Riggins.

Onaga is pretty dumpy in places, but it is no Horton.

I love little western Kansas towns, like a lot. Good people live there and most of them are K-State fans. That's worth a lot of points.

That list of some kids' league schools -- Sterling, Hillsboro, Lindsborg -- when I was a kid I dreamed of my parents moving us out there where we could farm and stuff. But nope. Stuck in the JC suburbs, which in some ways are completely awful and full of KU people.

Fanning, Hutch is not in the JC suburbs.
