Lindsborg, KS

Sucks. Stupid red horses with peoples names on it.

Fantastic crepes there made by swedes, which seems like a crepe people.  I like Lindsborg

I can confirm Cheney is pretty terrible.  Grew up in Goddard which is also terrible but at least it's close to Wichita which is slightly less terrible.

You could take everything south of US-50 and give it to Oklahoma and I wouldn't care/notice.

Also, Mulvane is off the list just because they have Luciano's.

Oh man. We are also gonna need a side list of best "days" celebration. "Old Sailor and Soldiers" is nice because its proclaimed next to a huge roadside ditch that's always flooded and has a tire island, but Little Balkans Days is just a great WTF Kansas tradition.

I never attended, but Neewollah (in Independence) always intrigued me.

Eldorado is pretty bad. Meets the stink and oil requirments. Was at one point the murder capital of kansas. Doesn't have anything good that i have ever seen or heard of.

Had a roomie in college that lived out in far western KS.  Had to drive 2hrs one way to go to freaking wal-mart.  I don't even.  I mean, we should set up a mission/self help clinic out there or something right?

I have a friend there and he can't iMessage me because he never has 3G and I'm the one literally living in BFE.

I don't think Parsons is in the same discussion as some of these other towns. It's kind of old and run down but it's not terrible.

There are no anti-abortion signs in that stretch that I'm aware of. Almost all of the signs are around St. Paul, mostly between St. Paul and Girard.

Seriously? I made that drive last December and I thought I counted an enormous amount of those signs. I could be mistaken.

My high school league from best to worst. I might be forgetting a few, but none of these places are worth remembering.

Hillsboro: Clean living people close to McPherson which is one of the better towns in KS
Hesston: More clean living people with decent jobs
Lindsborg-Smoky Valley: People dedicated to their Swedish culture, weird but not messy

Wichita-Collegiate: actually idk where this goes, probably #1

Hoistington - Just a town on K-4
Haven- Ahead of the curve for declining rural towns
Sterling - Boring people doing drugs for ANY sense of excitement
Ellinwood - Oily yet poor
Marion - Always got a hillbilly feel from these people

Nickerson: My god. A suburb of Hutchinson. Voodooville would be a more appropriate name. Poor and mean.

Not in that league, but that is a pretty spot on ranking.  I would put Sterling ahead of Haven though.  Sterling is actually pretty nice and has a college. 

Hillsboro and Hesston are pretty nice for small towns like you said.
