We've seen this very same move in the Balkans . . . the U.S. sends in the CIA to support factions like the KLA and green lights arms shipments from Iran to Islamic fighters further destablizing the region. Then under the guise of "ending ethnic cleansing" the U.S. sends in the bombers for 80 or so days, then comes the break up of the country . . . then a few years later said "Balkanized" country seeks membership in NATO, or so so rife with political/ethnic infighting that it's a a complete shell of its former nation state self.
