Anyone else have fun stories from these guys?

a week ago, parked my moped at the bike racks on campus (as was the law when i registered in 08) and got a $50 ticket. $50! the same as a car taking up one of a limited number of spots. $50 is more than i spend on gas for that thing in a year! like what the heck. not even a warning that they changed the rule back in july. been parking since then, and no warning for 5 months, then a $50 ticket??
going through the appeal process to see if i can get it revoked, then they email me saying we'll reduce the ticket to $5 if you buy a pass for it for $60. the prorated price for the pass according to other passes should be $35... emailed them about this and haven't heard back.

which path should i go down, appeal the case, then have the chance of paying $50 for the ticket, or pay $65 for the ticket and pass?

i typically would use my bike instead of the 'ped, so i really dont need a pass. I really wouldn't use it.

You always needed a pass for motorcycle parking. You used to be able to park mopeds at the bike racks just like a bicycle for free.

I had my "O-tag" (no GPC.com) hanging visible on my rearview mirror in a campus lot-until the adhesive holding my mirror on the windshield failed.  Had to pay $15 to help finance the new parking garage.

About 2-3 months later I needed to drop something off on campus and parked illegally.  When I came back, a uniformed parking Nazi was getting the scanner gun thingy warmed up.  I walked up, got in my vehicle, and drove off.

Friend of mine used to be in parking services (big football fan).  He said most of the football players parked illegally all the time, so being the good EMAW he is, he wouldn't ticket them.  Except for 2y's, he always ticketed him and took great pleasure in doing so
