"The NCAA should switch to best of three, five or seven game series like the NBA.  The playoff system in pro basketball ensures the best team wins" (Not kidding)

First desired reaction provoked!

Me: "Sorry, I can't help but smile when a KU fan complains about officiating."
KU guy: "Sorry, I can't help but smile when a KSU bus drives off a bridge....or was it into a bridge?"

but, but, but, we beat you three times.

We should have pressed the whole game.

Ali couldn't miss.  (actually only 4-10 from three, so yes, he could miss and did)

I didn't even watch the game.  I was busy helping underprivelaged children. (lie)

At least Mizzou lost.

This is great.  A KU fan who I work with, but, don't associate with for obvious reasons, had to go through the painful process of explaining to another lady at work how the tournament works.  One and done, no second chances, etc.

Then, after the explanation, the non KU fan says, "Oh, so, you must feel like I felt when the Colts lost".

Ku fan erupts with "It's nothing like that, this is my alma mater.  That's like comparing a paper cut to losing an arm!!"

Great times to be a Wildcat.

Purposely asked an emawer if he wanted to join the table reserved for sweet 16 members infront of bout 5 ku fans.

Was met with, " Ksu is still not the most talented team in Kansas"

I reply with, "talented enough to be one of the best 16 teams in the nation"

"Ku was the most talented team in the nation. BY FAR ! ! ! ! "

"Not talented enough to be one of the best 16 teams in the nation. Butler and Saint Mary's were though, fyi"

Its really too easy, yet it never gets old

If you are a ku fan it is at least the Elite 8.

The boss has been silent.  Usually he comes in every Morning and pushes the button on his musical chicken, so it it plays that annoying fight song.  I wonder if the batteries died, cuz I haven't heard it yet.

He probably just forgot.  Push it for him.

However, there was dejection in her voice. I hope she could hear me fist pumping on the other end of the line.

That's actually kind of creepy.   :dunno:

Haven't seen any KU fans yet.  The janitorial crew hasn't come in yet.  Frickin slackers.

Northern Iowa doesn't have any either.

Could be a possible response.

Whitlock chimes in on the ref nonsense...

That’s right. The refs called a fair game, which doesn’t always happen in conference play. No way Tyrel Reed would have been called for a charge with 26 seconds to play and Kansas trailing by four points in any Big 12 arena.

While watching one of my roommates play a video game (Northern Iowa vs. uk) I made the comment of "still bothering you isn't it?  Just have to take frustration out on the video game huh?"  Another kid in the room who had no part in this conversation throws in the typical "the last time you were in the sweet 16 you weren't born yet, and we went on to win the national title".  Typical cookie cutter response from a bandwagoner.

this really should be the focus for everybody. big12 refs are doing ku no favors in the long run. they're essentially training ku players to get calls that they won't get in the tournament. i'd be livid at all of the calls ku gets in the regular season if i were a ku fan.

I used to say this all the time, Jarrod Haase flopping his way through the tourney comes to mind.  Same thing happes to Duke too.  They are trained to flop/whine/tumble/cry and get the calls.  When Higgins isn't trailing the play with his arm already in the air, it gets tough for them and they fold like a bad poker hand.
