There is a big gap between King of Kong and second place.

Where does "What's the Matter with Kansas" fall on your list?

Goofy Stevesie, Jack Black was great and all but King Kong isn't a documentary.

Ken Burns: The War is the 4th best documentary ever made.

Higher than 10 but lower than 5.

boogie nights is #1, followed by the 1998 bulls - jazz nba finals series at the #2 spot, with the #3 place being awarded to Big Brother season 2 (chilltown alliance).

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Yea, it's a pretty crappy documentary version of the book.

I just had my first opportunity to see this:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1931549/

More interesting to me is the fact that the family is divided over this documentary.

Talk about a life that's filled books though, wow.

I'm watching "The Look of Silence" right now. Not a word of it is in English but it is the most intense documentary I've ever seen. It is essentially the story of a man confronting people who killed his brother in 1968 in the Indonesian genocide. These men are of course very old now but they aren't remorseful at all and very sociopathic and dangerous. I think they're going to kill this man before this doc ends.

It lost the Academy Award for best documentary to Amy, this is much much much better than Amy.

Fog of War is so good everyone should see it.  Hoop Dreams is very good and everyone should see it.  Last Chance U miniseries is very good and people should see it.

Last Chance U was amazing. I am now a Netflix subscriber because of it. That coach is a gigantic Richard though. Here is a great podcast with Brittany Wagner.

You know what else was a better documentary from that year?  Cartel Land.

Citizenfour was good and won best documentary last year.

You know what was a better documentary from 2013 that lost to (an also good doc, but nowhere near as good) 20 feet from stardom?  Dirty Wars.

I've had Citizenfour on my DVR for a year because I'm conflicted about Snowden. Seeing him on Last Week Tonight, didn't help me come to any conclusion.

Why would being conflicted make you not want to watch it.  I don't think it is going to change your mind, but it might!

citizenfour was ok.  i mean, it didn't really lend any credibility to snowden or his motives.  basically it seemed to me to be a "this is who snowden is" type story.

yes, very much a look in to the week when he was releasing the docs.  not about the larger issues much at all.

It's frustrating to hear him talk because I think he's full of crap but I agree with the spirit of what he did.

Wow, just finished watching this.  Extremely disturbing.  I may have a hard time sleeping tonight.
