I don't care how loud/not loud it was, there was a vibe to the place that I'd never felt there before.  Not better/worse than some of those Nub/OU games, just different.  And it felt good.  Really, really good.

I think it was a more confident vibe.  Like a "we got this" swag.  Those historic Nubb/OU games I was always way more  :ohno: and .

I thought last year A&M game int he OT's was louder than Saturday by far...could be a perspective thing though, I was in the SEZ last year, was in section 1 this year.

With the exception of Rooftop Willie's KSU Chant, I really didn't ever think it was that loud Saturday

 :flush:

Again, it could be perspective...I was in secton 1 on Saturday night right against the Fencing ( I could watch the ESPN feed from a TV in Vanier, thats how far to the North I was), so I had NO noise coming at me from the left of me

That's not the loudest I've ever heard it, but it comes pretty close. Other posters are correct though, it was consistently above average the entire game, and had a visible buzz that was fun to be a part of.

Loudest single chant I can remember is 09 Kansas.

Willie getting on the Dev was cool, only in a sense that I knew it didn't happen very often. I yelled just as hard as I always do, not harder.

This. The second half and the post game was an awesome scene.

Definitely agree with that.

The "conference title is coming" feeling throughout the stadium was really amazing. After the big throw to Lockett and a 2 score lead it really started to hit.

I don't know if it was the loudest I've heard the stadium be, to me the loudest moment was when Sproles ran the 2-pt conversion in to tie against Texas in '02, mostly because it went from dead silent to jet engine take of at the drop of  hat. But, my ears did pop this game, which was the first time that's happened I think since that game. Also, it was good to see Willie on the Dev, first time for me since the Nubb game in the snow, which still ranks very high in my favorite games all time.

When Tejas was on offense we had a very constant loudness going on minus the second quarter for the most part.  The confidence(swag) that we had this game and were going to own them was unreal.  Even in the first half and early 3rd when we were down I never really got that  :ohno: feeling.  Was just cheering on and waiting for the breakout.  Then it happened and the rest is history.  I would venture to guess that was one of the loudest most exciting 4th quarters in BSFS.  Not an angry loud but a "thats right, we own this Big 12 title and no one is going to stop us" loud.

Willie on top of the Dev was surreal with the fog and lights and EVERYONE doing the KSU chant, not just the standard engaged fans.

to me, felt like the 02 mizzou game that lead us to the dr pepper in kc. after the game, everyone was hugging and you could see the excitement in the air. same with saturday. just a lot on the line, a lot up in the air, and everything fell into place.

I had a blast at the game and agree with what you guys are saying, but the whole time I just couldn't help but think to myself "What would this place be like right now if we hadn't derped against Baylor?"

had that moment after I rushed the field and came back into the stands a few rows so i could get a better view.  Wow this is nuts, but how much MORE nuts would it be if this was for all the marbles?

On a positive note, props to the band director. That guy doesn't give a eff. I'm amazed we haven't been fined by the Big XII for playing when both teams have broken the huddle. He pushes the limit. Good on him.

I like him too, but I believe the band doesn't have to STFU until the opposing offense is on the LOS.  Can any ex-band members confirm/deny?

Every one loss team besides Alabama is kicking themselves right now with what could have been. Oregon moreso. They don't even have any hardware for this season. And they lost in OT at home.

I wouldn't have any idea. I was one section away from the UT band and they never (NEVER) stopped playing. I thought OU's band was bad...

Yeah, but Oregon has won their conference each of the last three years so them not winning it this year isn't that big of a KITN.  Also the Fiesta Bowl is a million times better than the Rose Bowl this year (8-5 Wisconsin :flush:) so it worked out for them.

Oregon has been to the title game before, and assuming Chip Kelly doesn't leave for the NFL, they will make it again soon.  God knows the next time Kansas State will have this good of an opportunity to play for all the marbles.

In 2015 our senior class will include Daniel Sams, Travis Britz, Morgan Burns, Deante Burton, a Gronkowski, Demonte Hood, Mike Moore, Marquel Bryant, a Cantele kicker, a Klein, Boston Stiverson, Cody Whitehair, and Stan Weber.

In 2014 those guys will be juniors with a senior class including Randell Evans, BJ Finney, Tyler Lockett, Ryan Mueller, Demarcus Robinson, Curry Sexton, Zach Trujillo, and Jonathan Truman.

I'm not saying they will be the level of this team, but if Demarcus figures it out, that's a damn good base to compete for Dr. Peppers and a chance to get in the 4 team playoff.  A lot of those young defensive guys have been solid on ST this year.

Under the assumption that we have our current coaching staff or a large majority of it, yes.

I wasn't trying to make it sound like we were facing the prospect of losing seasons - there is definitely enough talent on the roster to contend in the next few years.  But the stars were aligned for KSU this year and we couldn't capitalize.  The team stayed pretty healthy, manageable schedule, great senior leaders, great talent at key positions, one of two eligible undefeated teams.  All of those circumstances happening again are what I am unsure about.
