Question for the students/young EMAW's
« on: December 03, 2012, 09:25:16 AM »
When Willie was on top of the Dev, was that like super rough ridin' awesome, or just kinda cool?  Because there's some history there and I just want to know if like you got super amped and yelled the K-S-U chant louder than ever or just like regular loud?  Also props for pulling the less enthusiastic kids into the stadium to stay all calm over on the grass.

we should have a history lesson thread for these young kids whose mommy is down at the market buying Pampers for all us kids.

-OU was the loudest the stadium will ever be
-O'Doyle Rulez
-The Band Sucks
-The student section was best in XXXX year
-The Band Rules
-The student section this year is awful
-With this budget and this facility we should expect X amount of wins especially when it comes to volleyball

Said ksu chant was super loud, I think most of the big time EMAWs know the history of Willie on the Dev. Most students got super pumped when we saw him up there

Top 5 loudest moments at K-State.

I don't think it was louder than Newman blocked punt return though, but not by a lot.

That was the loudest moment but I think it might be the loudest game from start to finish we've had.  :dunno:

What about Beasley to Morgan vs Nubb '00?  It's tough to tell when you're sitting in a different part of the stadium.

I think at that age your ears were more susceptible to loud noises scottwildcat, you are lucky you can hear anything to be honest.

Last half 3rd qtr.-4th qtr. was pretty glorious.  Very #fattytakethewheel 'esque.  The Baylor letdown + slow 1st half completely swung the other direction.  Lots of emotion on display including many bro hugs and high fives from the youngest wild wild cat to the oldest tucks.

I've got serious beef with the students after Saturday.

For clarification, I witnessed every home game from 1999 - 2006 with the exception of two unimportant games. I was a student from 2002-2006. Sidenote: Was there for the '98 Nebraska game too as that is truly my first recollection of a KSU game in person.

I had 'grass' tickets on Saturday. Managed to sneek into the student section. We ended up in about row 20, and maybe 15 seats from the chain link fence at the end (so essentially past the end zone).

I know we were sitting with the bottom feeders of our students, but it was downright embrassing.

These jackasses don't even know how to stand and sit down. Seriously. these fucktards would hop down a row to sit down and then jump back up on their seat when standing. Needless to say, it was a clusterfuck of people who didn't know proper student section protocol.

Second, these students feel the game is more of a social outing than a life/death match-up that most of us view the game as. More rough ridin' pictures and people on their cellphones than I ever recall. Lots of people just bullshitting around and not paying attention to the game.

Third, somebody forgot to tell these numbnuts we need to yell when the opposition is on offense. I was able to have a conversation with the person next to me on nearly every play. It was sad.

Lastly, and this one gets me more than anything, we had a full student section prior to halftime. After halftime, we had literally hundreds of empty seats to the right of us. I'm guessing about 500 students didn't bother coming back into the stadium after halftime. Pathetic. This is one of the Top 5 most important games in our history and we have students who don't bother showing up for the second half. I seriously hope they reduce the size of the student section so we can weed out these pathetic losers who don't give a crap. Free up a seat for an old geezer who will at least remain in his seat for the entire game and support the team.

I'm done.

When I was there, I tried pretty hard to make it the best but it was the end of snyder 1 and the ron prince era so there was really only so much i coul do.

I wanted to be the best, but I know I just can't say that it was.

I thought last year A&M game int he OT's was louder than Saturday by far...could be a perspective thing though, I was in the SEZ last year, was in section 1 this year.

With the exception of Rooftop Willie's KSU Chant, I really didn't ever think it was that loud Saturday

There was a day when students actually filled up the student section. That fact cannot be debated. This is not a 'my years had the best student section' debate. This is the reality of where our student section currently stands.
