I've got serious beef with the students after Saturday.
For clarification, I witnessed every home game from 1999 - 2006 with the exception of two unimportant games. I was a student from 2002-2006. Sidenote: Was there for the '98 Nebraska game too as that is truly my first recollection of a KSU game in person.
I had 'grass' tickets on Saturday. Managed to sneek into the student section. We ended up in about row 20, and maybe 15 seats from the chain link fence at the end (so essentially past the end zone).
I know we were sitting with the bottom feeders of our students, but it was downright embrassing.
These jackasses don't even know how to stand and sit down. Seriously. these fucktards would hop down a row to sit down and then jump back up on their seat when standing. Needless to say, it was a clusterfuck of people who didn't know proper student section protocol.
Second, these students feel the game is more of a social outing than a life/death match-up that most of us view the game as. More rough ridin' pictures and people on their cellphones than I ever recall. Lots of people just bullshitting around and not paying attention to the game.
Third, somebody forgot to tell these numbnuts we need to yell when the opposition is on offense. I was able to have a conversation with the person next to me on nearly every play. It was sad.
Lastly, and this one gets me more than anything, we had a full student section prior to halftime. After halftime, we had literally hundreds of empty seats to the right of us. I'm guessing about 500 students didn't bother coming back into the stadium after halftime. Pathetic. This is one of the Top 5 most important games in our history and we have students who don't bother showing up for the second half. I seriously hope they reduce the size of the student section so we can weed out these pathetic losers who don't give a crap. Free up a seat for an old geezer who will at least remain in his seat for the entire game and support the team.
I'm done.
