This is the travel thread. Please keep pep rally and other loser topics to their own thread, tia. Also, include dates you're traveling when you talk about your flights. Having troubs finding stuff for under 600 bones right now. :frown:

SB,
try looking for flights on the 31 and the 4th...
I ended up using airline miles.

this is what's really making me sick, I found tickets at around that price on saturday night but couldn't get my phone to work.  then it died and I figured I would book when I got back to KC.  because of the fog didn't get into KC until after 3 and passed out before I could get it done.

It'll prob be cheaper to fly instead of drive from Northern Colorado depending on how many your bringing.  I am paying $80 a head out of Denver

I don't know how close either of you are to Montrose, but Allegiant has round trip from Montrose to Mesa Gateway for $118 for 1/2-1/5.  The 1/2 flight gets in at noon, leaving you pleanty of time to get to the pep rally if you want.

Booked flight for me and the wife 4th quarter Saturday night.  Staying in Phoenix, but may try to find someplace closer.  Have connections with a couple current students and will be sitting with the students at the game - most excited about this.   :lynchmob:

Originally was going to take the train from Topeka to Flagstaff, rent a car and drive down to the game.  22 hrs on the train sounded like a nightmare, but better than being in a cramped car.  Train was $372.

Then started looking at Southwest flights.  Managed to book MCI to Vegas for $150 and $170 back.  Since we were going to rent a car anyway no extra $ there except for the gas.  Vegas hotel was cheaper too.  5 hr drive from Vegas to Phoenix, but I'll totally get to see cool fun things like the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon!

Do not ever ride a train if you have to be some place on time.  There is a good chance the trip will take 30 to 60 percent longer than advertised.

This is the correct play. Did it in 2003 and again this year. Vegas >>>>>>> scottsdale
