If Two conferences were to say they were leaving the NCAA and creating their own league, what could the NCAA really do? Honestly, what kind of legal power do they have over schools? The only thing holding it together is "being in the club" and "getting a piece of the pie"

The NCAA is complete bull****, they punish teams, schools, and individuals with zero check. They stick their nose where it doesn't belong(Penn State) and they have made billions off the brow of athletes that literally play for free.

What is the SEC and the BIG10 announced today that they were leaving the NCAA and forming their own College Athletic Association? What could the NCAA really do to them other than restricting the teams under the NCAA from playing them?

Everyone in the SEC should be relegated to the Sun Belt conference, with the exception of Kentucky and Florida.  Just pathetic.

anybody. It's not a dispenser of justice. It's an economic cartel whose sole function is to protect its monetary interests in the aggregate. Sometimes that means sacrificing a smaller source or revenue for public relations purposes and looking like they are "doing something" to media and fans while still protecting the larger revenue generators. That is what "justice" is in NCAA terms.

Yea...cause starting a new athletic association for collegiate athletics is super simple to do.

And the Big 10 would be the conference to break off with the SEC and associate with those inbreds.

Another poverty stricken mother of a ku recruit just moved into an upper middle class neighborhood in Lawrence, ks. When asked about it, the NCAA's officials response was "nothing to see here".

2 days later Wyoming is given 3 years probation for a coach lending a player a quarter to get a piece of gum.

The NCAA is pizzed at us for causing conference realignment.
This never would have happened if we had stayed in the Big 12.
