meh.  Nothing Rubio said makes him a young earth person.  His religion isn't a young earth religion.  He avoided the question, but he didn't avoid it because he is a young earther.  He avoided it because he didn't want to piss off the young earth people who are key to him getting through a primary.

Yep, if there's one thing that will help the republican party it is to stop catering to a majority of their supporters.

It's not even close to the majority, but it is enough to give democrats a win should they vote for a 3rd party candidate that panders to them.  Similar to the dems needing to pander to the atheists.

There is no third party for raving lunatics who want to live in a Christian theocracy, though. At least there isn't one yet. Why does the republican party alienate an actual third party (libertarian) in favor of bending over backwards for people who have no other logical choice anyway?

I think the real problem is that these people are way closer to a majority in the republican party than you give them credit for. Otherwise, a level-headed candidate would have a much easier time in the primaries. Mitt was by far the least crazy of the bunch, but I think Santorum probably would have defeated him if Newt didn't stay in as long as he did, splitting the crazy vote.

Wow.

Suckers deserve it.

Holy crap...I'd never heard of this.  Why do they believe the earth is hollow?  Is it a religious group or do they just think current scientific thinking is wrong?

When I was a kid, there was a cartoon or tv show or something on Sat mornings that showed groups of ppl that were somehow trapped in the earth.  There were dinosaurs and crap.  Also, it was like a rain forest in there.

I would imagine that the inside earthers really like that idea.

Not Sure If "Science" Is A Real Thing...

Hey, he didn't say if science is real or not, he just wants parents to have the ability to decide if they want their children to learn "science" or not.

Rubio is just like all of these Republicans who are trying to pander to the base for the 2016 Primary. He's going to try to be on all sides of the issues like Mitt.

Anyone who considers things like this a "side" to try to be on while still trying to relate to those of us that don't believe such things will simply find no side for themselves at all.  The void between the two is too wide and deep.  It will swallow all that try.
