Frank did a masterful job . . .
« on: March 20, 2010, 11:10:24 PM »
with personnel at the end of the game IMO.

Oh . . .and F_ck those refs, if it wasn't for those douchebags we're strolling out of there with 20 point win.

Frank had every right to go crazy when he was asking "How is that a foul" . . . you're right Frank it wasn't, the refs were the only thing keeping the Mormons in the game.

Only mistake Frank continues to make is starting Lu at the beginning of the game and 2nd half.  Only way Lu should start is if the other center is a 270+ lbs Clydesdale.  Tonight KSU had a major advantage inside with length & athleticism which went away when Lu was on the floor.

I love Lu and believes he should get some minutes, but at the start of the game when KSU needs to get going, is not when they should be.

Starting Lu is a strategy meant to keep Jamasm off of the bench later in the game.  I think it's brilliant.

I know, he's really probably not the issue . . . but once we got our $hit together it was a pretty good effort.  Not our best.  Bigs gotta finish better.   Dom is just a complete offensive clusterf_ck . . . JSam was nowhere tonight . . . why can't we just grab the ball better at times.   But all-in-all . . . not bad.   Jake . . . geez, what a f'ing stud.

We finished better later on in the game.  I started to wonder at times if when our guys saw a big white guy in the lane they just somehow thought it was Aldrich and automatically changed their shots.  Ridiculous.

Biggest complaint was some absolutely mind-numbing turnovers at times, especially Jamar putting the ball on the floor when he knew a double team was coming everytime.

This!

They were calling crap 88 feet from the basket on us, and not calling crap on them.  pretty sure one of those refs was a child molesting polygamist fanoink

We made those bitches cry like their father/husband was Joe Smith himself.  Hate BYU, wish Michael Jackson's sole on their campus

Well you do have to wonder if our slow starts are due to Lu . . . it's something.

 :blank:

no slow start in 2nd half for Lu.  hard to blame him for the poor start in the first half at least on the defensive end.  but would be nice to start offensive end w/ another scoring option inside

JamSam may have struggled, but this quote is amazing (CJonline)

Quote
"We couldn't think much about KU's loss before the game, and if we did, I think we'd have lost this game," said K-State forward Jamar Samuels. "I'd just like to thank them for beating us three times this year. Now, we can try to represent Kansas the way it's supposed to be."

Bingo.

Jamar gets into foul trouble too much.  Keep him on the bench at the start of each half to prevent him from getting a couple of cheapies, and pray Lu doesn't hurt us too much.

Kelly was great at passing out of the double-team tonight. Jam was god-awful. He acted like he was surprised at the double every single time. Extremely annoying, but forgivable since we, you know, won. :fistpump:

Lu is just in there to get the game's first foul(s) and not have them be on Jamar.  Lu actually had good minutes later on in the game.  I think, maybe, if Wally had developed quicker, Lu might have come off the bench towards the end of the season.  But against X or Pitt, our bigs will have to be.
