We lost because our D-line sucks balls and taints.  It's Mo Lattimore's fault.  We have had to scour the JuCos like a emeffer because he can't recruit anyone out of HS and develop them into top tier defensive lineman.  Fire Mo, get in a top notch recruiter for our d-line and we are firing on all cylinders.

Our offense is just fine. It's a double-edged sword, really. Either you run the offense we are running, which will generally keep you in the game, but make it hard to come back if you get down 3 scores, or run a hurry-up offense, which will make no lead you get safe, but make it possible to come back. I would like to think a legitimate #1 team would never be down 3 scores in the first place, so I would go with our clock control offense.

To be fair, PowercatPat is not the same poster as ELL3, and could very well disagree with his sentiment. I sure as hell know I disagree with ELL3.

I'm sure many of you are thinking, "Oh, woe is me, we'll never have another shot at a season like this again." It was a common sentiment among very smart people as a way to say you should enjoy every moment. And yes, every moment of this season should be savored, and it should be enjoyed.

But if you think we'll never have a shot like this again?

YOU'RE rough ridin' WRONG. WE WILL HAVE OPPORTUNITIES LIKE THIS AGAIN.


It isn't 1972, crap it isn't even 1998. THIS SEASON PROVES IT CAN HAPPEN AGAIN. College football changes so rough ridin' fast these days, and programs just don't permanently die any more (just like programs aren't permanently good). We're 4 goddam years removed from having Ron WTF Prince coaching our team, and we had a national title within our grasp. Look at how quickly Auburn fell? ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN.

Not only that, we also have a 4 team playoff in place along with a ridiculously confusing access Bowl system that will just give us more opportunities to be in this position again. Oh, have you noticed those giant rough ridin' cranes at our stadium, just making us more and more attractive as a program?

Bottom line, enjoy this season, it's been amazing, and is STILL amazing; but don't rough ridin' cry about this being our only shot or this never happen again, because if you think that, you just aren't paying attention. WE WILL HAVE SEASONS LIKE THIS AGAIN.
