Jesus - (Gregg Doyle Appreciation Thread)

Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- every year since 1998.

The Morris twins were crying into towels. So were Tyshawn Taylor and Xavier Henry. Brady Morningstar was bawling loudly, completely broken by this loss.

Doesn't compare to me and my bracket -------> :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:

And you're going to cry after the game, Kansas? Don't bother. Too late. Nobody wants to hear that crap now.

I usually don't like cbssportsline.com commentators, mainly because of the MU idiot Dodd, but  with his pregame Northern Iowa/Kansas and KSU/BYU articles and then this on top of it, Doyle is on fire and owning this tournament from a writing perspective.

He is never going to be allowed near Allen Field House again after that scathing review of things.

that article is spot on.  if they would've taken their game to UNI early and often, they would've trucked them.  did nothing to force mistakes with the ball until they absolutely had to.

With the obscene talent and depth differential they have over other teams, it's amazing Seff doesn't have them play that full court press the entire game (or at least until it gets out of hand).

Further complicating KU’s problems was a foul disparity in the first 8 minutes that favored the Panthers 6-0. As Eglseder and Farokmanesh found a rhythm and Northern Iowa gained confidence, Self felt handcuffed, trapped.

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses....

Northern Iowa took and sank bad shots from start to finish.

It's just a game. JFC, bunch of crybabies.

Fantastic analogy, Doyel:

Quote
Kansas had wanted to win from the opening tap, sure. Sort of like, when it's dinner time, you want to eat. Are you hungry? Maybe, maybe not. But it's 6 p.m., and you eat at 6, so you head for the table. Same with Kansas for those first 37 minutes. This was a game, and athletes prefer winning to losing, so Kansas wanted to win.

Quote from: Doyel
From: Janae

You must not be a true college fan to realize the passion and dedication it is to be a part of a program such as KU. We had an amazing run this year winning the Big 12. We are all proud of our 'Hawks and once again go f--- yourself.

Looked you up, Janae. You went to Wichita State, not Kansas. Could you not get into Kansas? Is it even that hard? Or are you just a front-running homer? Either way, that's sad, Janae. Plus they're just kids.

OMFG......
