What if it never comes you guys?

Does this change KStaterhood going forward?  I mean, I was always sure it was waiting for us every other season up until this one.  If it doesn't come, will we get two next year?  Will it catch up with us after the NC and exact extreme revenge?  Will it lose our scent and leave us forever?

So are you just trying to tempt fate?

We've had some close calls (beating ISU by 6, seeing Klein go down with a head injury), and we've lost some important pieces (Walker done for season, Zim likely done for season, Puetz done for season, Sexton done for season, Tyler likely out for at least one game).  The football gods haven't delivered the KITN yet.  So why would you pick up a loudspeaker and shout "Just try me!  I f'n dare you!" to the football gods????

Does this change KStaterhood going forward?

This was the question that got me thinking.  If we are a national champion, does it change what K-State means?  We won't be the little overachieving school that always gets passed over for elite bowls, will we?  We won't be the second largest school in a small state that worries about getting left out of elite conferences when conferences shake up, will we?  We will be national champions and Heisman winners, with all the respect that goes along with that.  I'm not sure I even understand what that means.  I think KStaterhood changes in ways I am not even capable of understanding.

This wasn't a KITN.  The football gods had nothing to do with this.  This was a result of horrible game planning/play calling on both sides of the ball.  The football gods didn't need to do any work, we did it all ourselves by planning a soft/play-not-to-lose game plan, then executing that plan.
