$400.
In the open market, up to $800 for nothing special.

If you can snag some from the KSU allotment, $325 - $350. If you can't, then it depends on who we're playing. If it's ND or anyone from the SEC, expect $600+. Better hope Oregon finds a way to squeak in there. I've heard their fan base is small and losery.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

If you can find a ticket for under $800, snatch it now. Face value is $325.

Unless your ranking on the Ahearn Fund is pretty high (sub 4K, which is ~$4K in donations + season tickets over the past 3 years), I don't expect you can get tickets.

Last year Bama and LSU got 17K tickets each. Consider most people will be allowed 4+ tickets, that allotment will go fast...

Average price of tickets last year was $1600, but this includes all the lower level seats, suites/club seats. Upper level tickets will range from 600ish-A LOT. Set up a price alert on stub hub if you want to watch prices.

I could be wrong, but I'm not.

Alabama not being in the game will really bring down prices. If it's Oregon v. KSU expect a reasonable aftermarket price.

:ohno: I'm ranked at 3600 and I'm really hoping to get some with the allotment even though I'm sure it will probably be upper level.

Anybody else have an educated guess on where you'll need to be?

The pre-order form made it pretty straight forward any Ahearn Fund member who pre-ordered tickets would get tickets. How many tickets do you think they allot each team? Do you think K-State has 25-30,000 people who donate $4,000+?

No, but it states pretty clearly that:
Quote
Ahearn Fund members and season ticket holders will receive seating preference for bowl orders placed by the priority ticket deadline.

$10,000 and up – 12 tickets
$5,000 to $9,999 – 10 tickets
$1,000 to $4,999 – 8 tickets
$50 to $999 – 6 tickets
K-State alumni, season ticket holders, and other fans w/o Ahearn Fund membership – 4 tickets

So, at 17K tickets, I'm pretty sure there will be A LOT of people buying their max allotment of tickets and then selling them on the open market to pay for the trip. I know I would.

I'm calling the ticket office tomorrow to figure this out.

I'm guessing there will be around 17k tickets.  With 3600 people ahead of me, there would have to be an average of 4.72 tickets sold to each person for me not to get any.  Most of the people ahead of me can order 8-12 tickets each.  That's about the extent of what I know.

Scalping might be fine, but I would still expect to pay over face for a ticket.

Going off of this breakdown, hopefully K-State distributes more like LSU and less like Bama.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Just talked to the ticket office.  She said they'd originally planned to be able to accomodate all pre-orders, but she heard they've received 4x as many as last year so that probably won't happen. Seriously considering going to buy a car at Briggs so I can immediately become top 10.

Not real high on the Ahearn food chain.  However, I will submit my application for as many tickets as possible and see what happens.   :crossfingers:

did those dumbasses honestly believe we'd have the same amount of ticket preorders as last season?  :frown:
