I like South Beach and it will be fun getting weird there for a few days before the game.

No you won't.

SW having a 40% off sale but only applies to Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Could save on the return trip anyway. Promo code EARLYDEAL. They'll probably have another sale next Friday.

Book your K-State Bowl Game Package out of Wichita Mid-Continent Airport!

The K-State Alumni Association will offer the Official University Travel Package options out of Wichita Mid-Continent Airport for the Wildcats’ bowl game this year.  The destination of the game will be known after the game on December 2.  A minimum number of passengers are required to operate the charter.  The Airport is hoping for a huge response to fill at least one charter filled with enthusiastic Wildcat fans.  We promise to get your bowl game festivities started with a tailgate party at the gate.

For information about the travel packages, visit: www.k-statesportstravel.com.  To reserve your tickets through the K-State Athletic Department, visit www.k-statesports.com/bowlgame. Go Wildcats!

Took a walk up Ocean and down Collins last night.  There are a TON of little boutique type hotels all through South Beach, most with bars/restaurants or retail space under them.  I think there are more than a simple Google search will find.

Ocean is where most of the party scene is, tons of people out and loud music and good looking hostesses trying to hook you into their establishment.  Collins, although only one street over, is much quieter (more retail space).  In my limited experience the hotels off Ocean are more expensive (it's the place to be right?).  But Emo EMAW says to save some dough, stay off Collins (especially if your folks or whatever will be with you), and stumble your drunk/high/tripping ass back from Ocean.

generally not, the name on the reservation usually has to match the credit card at check-in.

I don't think rooms are that hard to come by.
