Some of you need a southwest card. They always have sign up specials. I've been sitting on a free round trip voucher from them for signing up. I'm flying out 1/4 and back on 1/9. See you crazy kids there.

They have the 2 flight special now. Fanning we are doing the same thing. 4 EMAW's with lady friends from KC. One from Chicago and one from NOLA. Staying at a beach front Holiday Inn.

OK, I am happy to report that the goEMAW Mod group has finally come to a consensus on where we are staying. This was not an easy process.

After much evaluation, we have decided upon Ft. Lauderdale as opposed to South Beach. Many factors went into this...

Most of us are staying in the same general area (from North to South, Hilton Beach Resort, the W, Sherraton, Marriot Beach Place, Courtyard, Renaisance, etc.)

Word is that the team stayed at Shula's (just south of Hilton Beach Resort) for the Miami game last year, but who knows where they are this year. Probably handled by the Bowl, and not KSU. But, who knows.

We are going to work on trying to find a few places/times to Pak. Please let us know if you know of a good spot in that area.

Yes one of my buddies lives there but he isn't much of a bbs'r.

One upside of Ft Lauderdale is you probably won't get raped on parking. South Beach is awful. But you can always drive to South Beach and go to dinner and pay a meter or something.

Cheap alternative to hotels and is 15 minutes away from the stadium. This is where we are staying

The Westin Diplomat is where one of the teams usually stays for the Orange Bowl and I believe UF stayed there in 2009 BCS NC game.
