LOL if you're not staying in South Beach.
no crap.  I mean wtf people? you're better than that.  ft. lauderdale? gross.

I'm flying into ft. lauderdale on southwest and immediately taking a cab to the hilton bentley on south beach for 4 nights courtesy of axon. thanks credit card thread.  I booked right after the wv game.

I could switch to that one I guess :dunno:

I am 100% in.  As is Steve Dave and Saul.  I think Trim and KK are probably in as well.  Most of us with our sexy lady friends.

We are both flying into FLL.  A group of us had been sorta going back and forth on the Pro's/Con's of Ft. Lauderdale versus Southbeach.

The "Pro" for Ft. Lauderdale is that it's much close to the game (that's only one night, of course), but likely closer to any official KSU events.  Not everyone is interested in that sort of thing, however.  If you are taking kids, this is better than southbeach. I will not be taking any kids, personally.

The "Pro" for Southbeach is that it's a spectacle. I wouldn't really call it less trashy than Ft. Lauderdale, but I sure as hell would call it more  weird.  It's fun, but it has issues as well.  This is NOT the place for kids.

Thoughts?

I've decided that Miami would be worth going into debt for about 3 years or so. I'll be there.

Also, I am prelim looking into charters from Denver for Colorado Pak'rs.  Once I get rates, I can send out info to those interested.  Plane would leave Friday and return Tuesday. PM me if you want me to keep you in the loop.

We are looking at renting a vacation house for the week (4th-9th or something like that)...not many details yet, I think the Brians are gonna start getting serious about it this week...I think it needs to be booked before Baylor game...a lot more people are gonna get bold after we win that one I think

What is the best way to go about getting tickets for the game for a "reasonable" price for those of us with LBGTIQ(low bowl game ticket IQ). TIA

Buy them as late as possible. Cotton Bowl tix dropped in half 2 days before the game, dropped another 25% or so day of game...started selling quick at that point, so you gotta have your $$ amount & seat section in mind and jump on em when they hit your level.

We bought our Cotton Bowl tickets about 48 hours too early last year, we paid $450 for seats that were going for $250 2 days later...lesson learned

Sign up for USAA and go through budget to the get the fees waived.  Used it for WV and TCU.  Worked like a charm.

Me: Have we thought about hotels and stuff for Miami?

Mrs. JoeTotula: O, I already have several rooms reserved.  The only down side is I didn't get as good of deals as I wanted, so some nights will be $100 per room.

There really is nothing better than having an elite Marriot sales bigwig for a sister-in-law.

See credit card thread, go into long-term debt if necessary.
