Don't care what anyone says, I feel bad for the players. I guess no one is arguing that, but that's the only reason I went last night. Poor Angel. :frown:

Yes. Gip made me sad this morning. And also madder at Currie for doing this to the players.

i'm betting that most of the players are pretty happy with weber instead of frank though. not hard to read between those lines.

To paraphrase, Weber is the soda pop for breakfast, ice cream for lunch dad. Of course the players like him.

Honestly, I think this is way overplayed. While oscar is far from Frank when it comes to how he deals with players, I don't think he's some complete pushover like he's being made out to be.

Maybe Currie should have hired a coach that the players would love AND keep the casual fans interested. Too bad there wasn't anyone like that campaigning for the job on national TV......

People who refuse to believe that Weber is a cause of the low attendance don't understand one very simple thing:

Frank was an attraction himself, Weber is not.  This is indisputable.  It is absurd to think the attendance and the buzz around the team would be the same if Frank was still here.  There is no way we would have won by 60 last night if Frank was still the coach, but pretending that attendance would be similar needs to stop, its an embarrassingly stupid talking point.

It is possible to be a hard ass without looking like a complete pee pants, 360 head turning, wild eyed maniac.

Oh yeah, I agree, there's a tremendous amount of Frankites in the K-State fanbase who thought the complete maniac on the sidelines was the show within the show.  Count myself as one of them.   The show within the show ceases to be fun anymore when the recruiting is headed down the  :flush:

i agree that this talking point is old and wasn't a part of it. just stating that it seems pretty obvious that we shouldn't really feel bad for the players because they seem just fine with everything. the proof will be in the pudding over the next five years and there are plenty of ways to make pudding (i'm guessing here). so long as it tastes good, who cares if it was made with love or anger or something in between.

Did you give the tickets to jtksu or someone who actually used them?

They were both used last night by jakesie and I. On Monday, I emailed one to seven and he didn't show. It was a pain to scan the other one so I didn't.

Hey guys, when I was sitting there watching us dick punch Alabama, guess who was sitting behind me?

The Mask.

Swear to god.  I'll post my cell pic tomorrow.  Turned around for a fleeting second and there he was.  Neck tie, gym shorts, mask and everything.  He smiled and gave me a thumbs up. Put my phone right in his face and snapped a photo.  It was great.

Anyway, even Frank and his showmanship couldn't have made that game enjoyable. No clue how NT lost.  They were a very good high school team.

Btw, does anybody care to recall how many preseason, post game interviews Frank called out our shitty fan base attendance?  If you're upset with the crowds, get off ur ass and buy a ticket.  The team is actually good.  Jezuscrist.

dear 42, lol

guy who works for me must have been at the same establishment as Belvis during the game - he was all excited and told me the story.  i had the same react on the inside but i humored him and found it amazing.
