Sams doesn't understand the offense yet, and he's got a flat trajectory on his passes. I have my doubts whether or not he can play QB at this level. Waters will probably be the starter anyways. All I'm saying is that K-State has quite a few question marks next year as well.
K-State will most likely have the better team again next year, but I do think that KU is closing the gap a little bit. Heaps was the #1 QB in his recruiting class, and he'll be going into next year with over a year of experience within KU's system. Word on the street is that Heaps would have started last year if he had been eligible. Then you've got Darius Miller teaming up with Sims and Pierson again on offense, along with a 4-star, national top 50 recruit in 2010 (McCay). Throw in the #1 overall juco recruit on defense (Combs) and some other studs, and you're damn right I'm excited about KU football moving forward.
