May have a turbo leak. Put a piece of cardboard under the car overnight and in the morning check to see if any turbo leaked onto it.

Not a real thing.   Don't listen to this Steve.   I did some research, get NOS tanks installed in the back seat and install a red NOS button on the shifter or steering wheel.  Problem solved.

Speaking of cat convertors...I've had my Check engine light turn on twice in the past 3 years when leaving manhattan on 177 just past the dara's. Both times the code was the p0420(cat converter below effeciency). I took it to the shop the first time and they said nothing was wrong and turned the light off...just happened again last weekend so I just unhooked the battery for 5 minutes and the light turned off.

He could try changing the muffler bearings.  If that doesn't work I would try tweaking the masterbator valve.

When I go car shopping, I always check to make sure the car I buy doesn't have an "H" on the front grille. Not enough turbo power is a well known problem for these vehicles.

I think putting turbo gas on it would solve the problem. I don't know how much, but probably until its dripping at least.

You also need to put on one of those really high spoilers.

Oh, I'm sorry. I missed where people were giving legitimate answers. Does it feel like it is slipping at all? It shouldn't be a fuel filter on a 2009, but I am actually having that problem with my car. It is the fuel filter and my car just has no power.

It's fairly common knowledge that you need to run a tank full of diesel, instead of gas, every 15,000 miles. It helps clear out and carbon build up. That should take care of the problem in a jiffy.

SD, at any point in the last week or two, prior to the lack of turbo thing, did you narrowly escape certain death?

I just wouldn't push it is all I am saying.

In the 2009 civic you need to press the turbo button. The turbo function wasnt automated until the 2010 model year.
