Fisher's tale doesn't exactly have the gravity of Linda Brown walking a mile out of her way to attend school because the state of
KANSAS saw black people as racially inferior to white people, but for some critics of affirmative action it's almost the same thing. After all, half of white people in the United States see racism against whites as just as much of a problem as racism against minorities.
http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/10/supreme-court-affirmative-action-fisher-v-texasThank God I'm from a state that actually embraces the Melting Pot that is the United States. Some of the horrifying things I've read about Kansas this morning makes me happy I won't be at the game Saturday. I'm not afraid for our players on the field but I truly fear for the lives of our non-white athletes as long as they are inside Kansas borders.
Hopefully they can get a quick win and get the hell out of there ASAP.
