whoever said that bbsing would suck this year, that person was right.

:emawkid: Every prediction I've made the last 6 months even indirectly related to this basketball program has been deadly accurate

I hope McGruder doesn't kind of disappear in the motion, but again, I wasn't really paying much attention tonight.

man if I have to put up with this all year, I'm going to quit everything, end it all

You may have missed this part.

The four words before the ones you bolded are the silly ones.  Rod will be unaffected by the minor changes in the offense.

i'm just saying for someone that has it all-in against oscar, i would expect you should be able to describe, in vivid detail, the variances between what we saw last night with oscar, and what we would have seen with an all-star calibre (sp?) coach of your choosing.

lol

please describe the new system and what it was about it that held our players back last night

Manner of coaching, not the offense.  From all the quotes out of the program, frank and oscar seen to be night and day.

Also, I am happy that you are happy with our direction.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I didn't go the scrimmage, I didn't really intently watch the game, and I haven't really watched Illinois in years.

So, I don't really know what oscar was going to run other than "motion".

Screw it.  It's not worth fighting about.

Motion offense looked really good for the first 10 minutes of the game.  Hitting open shots and getting good looks.  Looked really sloppy for the other 50% of the 1st half.  Didn't watch 2nd half.  Watched Game of Thrones instead.

It was a rough ridin' exhibition.

what a difference a year makes. 2011 belvis would've driven up for this and then got crazy mad at frank when we looked bad in an early season game. 2012 belvis watches the first half from home and then switches the channel at halftime. interesting. probably just an anomaly though i'm sure.

Don't be thin skinned, no one is fighting; its a message board, guy.  I just think you shouldn't get into the trap of thinking that this team is going to be much differently offensively.  oscar or anyone else for that matter running motion is going to do much more than what was previously done.

Also "motion offense" is much more of a generic term than people are making it out to be.

FYP, Rick.  Still got my season tix.  Like last year, though, I didn't feel the obligation to drive 4 hours round trip to watch a glorified practice.

Don't worry, I'll be there for the NDState game on the 9th - unlike the vast majority of goEMAW basketball bbsers who have never and will never actually own season tickets.

I think most local basketball bbsers either have or had season tickets, seemed that way last season anyway.

I have no problem saying belvis is a better fan for me.

My last KSU BB game in MHK was this:

And I was getting a Pepsi when it happened. :frown:

When the motion offense was going it looked real good, guys were shooting with confidence, things were rolling.

That only happened when they were playing well.

They only played well about 12 minutes.

It is what it is.

The apathy of this fan base is

I think it has some to do with the coaching change, but is mostly that we have the #2 football team in the nation which is really, really fun.  Plus we just played Washburn.

The apathy started long before last night.  Football team was pretty good last year too, no?

I've also never understood this talking point, it would make sense if they played games at the same time.  Most of us are reading/posting on both boards right?  Are sports fans predisposed to having the inability to multi-task?
