Blackout would just be streaming, it would be available on FSNMW. This would be a big improvement over previous years, where for a Tier 3 game K-State was limited to just the state of Kansas and the KC metro area and no streaming at all. Now you'll have FSNMW in multiple states, FCS nationally, and Kstatehdtv globally.

Granted, Kentucky is a backwoods hicksville of a commonwealth, but FSNMW is showing as blacked out on my circular space talkie Dish.

Thank goodness I can pop my collar and sign in to my premium account on Kstatehdtv.

FSNMW would be: Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana

Tonights game is also on FCS, which should be available nationally.

There was a bit of an uproar when CFB started as ESPN took some of the the games that were on ESPN, ESPN 2 and the U off espn3.com (especially those that used the xbox app).  It appeared they were not going to let non-cable/sat subscribers watch the usual TV content.  They may have restored this programming to espn3, I am not sure as I haven't used my xbox espn3 app much this year for CFB.

Part of the issue I've noticed is there is a 2 tiered espn stream with espn3 and watchespn.  Where verizon,  comcast etc seem to be getting more  content than Cox or even KSU.  The big thing for me are away games.  I still need to run an HD antenna to see what kind of reception I get in Manhattan.

It's a network of Kansas stations that carry KU's three or four annual tier 3 games.  It isn't a physical television network.

Michigancat, do you have DirecTV?  Back when the FSN games were only available in Kansas it reportedly was possible to get them out of state if you changed your DirecTV billing address to a Kansas address.

I don't know if this would still work, might be an option if Kstatehd doesn't improve

well here in kc you need the Internet to watch espn3, they charge for that here.  you also have to buy espn, which they also charge money for

add both of those up and espn3 costs a portion of that sum
