We were going up against the two best run defenses in the country. ISU by far #1. I'm not worried.

Without looking at stats, I don't remember us being unproductive running against WVU. Obviously, we put it in the air quite a bit, but I thought we ran it effectively too.

Long story short, I guess I'm not nervous.  Tech has a good D but Im confident well scheme the crap out of them.

I think we make a point of running it down their dumb throats.  Not worried (but a little bit nervous)

Hell no.  Hubes is good and our O-line is tits.  The teams we've played have stacked the box and brought up safeties all night and made Klein beat them.  They're sending extra men and we're still gaining yards.  Did you not read _Fan's Fanalysis?   :shakesfist:

ISU and WVU focused on stopping the run. The only differences were Klein having a bad game/penalties/better secondary in the ISU game. As long as we don't play like crap and TTU doesn't load the box then the run game should be fine. However, I think we could pass the whole game and beat them.

averaged over 5 against OU though. idk you guys. i think our guys are getting tired or maybe we've been figured out. plus it's ttu so it's just going to be close. remember that ttu game where jb had to relieve bish and we just barely sneaked it out?  :ohno:

It appear Charlie Weis's game plan of "tackle them" is finally getting around to our opponents.  Worried about our offense getting stopped guys.   :frown:

not in the slightest, rick daris.  if we don't get 5.0+ per attempt against tech, i'll be absolutely amazed.

AS WVU we have never ran the ball all that effectively against a 3-4.
AS of ISU they are pretty good, the wind allowed them to stack the box and we didn't totally ready to play as evidence of the 9 penalties mostly holds.

tubberville is very good though sys and you know those western plains texas yahoos would love more than to come into mhk and sneak out with a "w".

With sys on this one, Ran for 4.1 against them last year on the road and are run game is vastly improved.

So is the increase in carries for Pease over the last couple of game indicative of Angelo and his progress or that Hubert is nicked up? Both? Neither?

And Tech's defense hasn't?

I am under the impression that the staff likes Pease more than Hubert in the passing game. He better out of the back field catching the ball and is better or on the same level for picking up the blitz. That is why he played more against WVU.

Believe most of Techs improvement defensively have to deal with defending the pass.

lots of yahoos from all over want to do that, rick daris.  there's a big difference between what they want to do and what they can do.  old tuberville is going to find that out real quick.

not really, no.  tech's defensive reputation is built entirely on humiliating wvu.  they haven't done a single other thing that anyone gives a crap about.

Tech has given up almost 900 yards per game the last two games and over 300 yards rushing including 183 against TCU and our rushing game is better than the frogs.
