It sounds like I am the only one nervous for Saturday. Well, the only one besides Gregg Doyle. But if we win, we'd have to drop 2 of our last 4 games to NOT win the Big 12. I mean, holy crap.
See, I understand where some EMAWs are coming from with this. We've seen this happen before. The 2004 season crash from the Top 10, for example. The 2002 Nebraska game that everyone was kinda meh on before kick off then turned into a "omg are you serious?" win. Then we get the Ron Prince KITN years. Stop. That's over. This year's team is a team you can lean on. To play a semi-crap game on the road against against a ranked team and still win. To blow out a preseason Top 10 Heisman team on road. (EDIT: absolutely dominate and dismantle a preseason Top 10 Heisman team on the road in a way we haven't seen this team do since the '90s salad days.) To beat a Top 10 team in Norman. To blow out a decent ACC team at home.
I know some people are still wincing when they see a series of passes push our D back. That's supposed to happen. Bend but don't break. And the bending has gotten less and less as the year has gone on.
No major injuries, no major screw ups, everyone is playing smart and disciplined and coach is scheming his ass off.
It really doesn't get much better than this. Relax, enjoy this and let fatty take the wheel.
