A kid born during St. Louis 1998 is in high school now.

Let it go.

Enjoy this.

If you have "let 1998 go" then you're not EMAW.

1998 was enjoyed so much because 1988 was remembered.  2012 is being enjoyed so much because the sting of 98 is so vivid, and also because beating ranked teams on the road by like 50 is a total blast.

I was trying to Walk on in 98 as a freshman. The atmosphere around Manhatten then was amazing, this year has much of the same feel. I think the biggest diffrence was we were expected to win 10 plus games back then, but this rebirth on the national scene and on the tounge of all the major sports pundits is pretty epic. :lynchmob:

Is this happening? I'm so scared. What if we lose? Why can't I just enjoy the ride? Can you guys just enjoy the ride? I can't. Too nervous. Help.

I'm enjoying the heck of it. Honestly, I wasn't sure I'd ever experience another 98 in my life, but its happening. We might lose and not make it, but we're part of the discussion and its nearly November. That's pretty darn fun.

I am enjoying this BECAUSE of 1998, and what that felt like.

One game at a time guys.  One game at a time.  The ride thus far has been glorious but we can't look ahead.  There's still important games
left on the schedule.  After the game I received probably ten texts from friends who were already declaring us national champions!  This is foolish.  If we stay focused the Snyder-way, go about our business week by week, the sky is the ceiling for this squad.  Great win for us!  Let's focus on Tech now.

We don't have to focus on crap.  The players do.  Remember this distinction.

This.   Dream big guys.

Guys, I really hope we don't lose. I've been the biggest insufferable prick to my ku friends the past few weeks.  Shouting Optimus Klein for Heisman in their fat faces and tackling them in hallways while calling myself Arthur the Judge Brown. I shudder to think what they will do to me if we lose. Wet willies and Indian burns for sure.   :ohno:

 :comehere:

I was in that endzone in St. Louis.  If I can say let it go then any EMAW can.

We get to play a national championship game every Saturday until we lose.  Feels pretty damn great.

I selectively forgot it happened like two days after it happened for about 6 years. Selective memory/self preservation technique I guess.

I decided to save the tears that I cried in December of 1998.  I squeezed them out of my pillow late that night and I bottled them up.  I first thought I would plant an orange tree and every year water that orange tree with my tears so that I would remember that night every morning when I was drinking on my OJ.  So I did.  And now I really hate OJ, but I still remember what it felt like to almost be there and then have to take your medicine.  Taking your medicine every morning for 13.8 years.  This team is on it.  This team is making me believe.  This team has to win 5 more games...and then I will have a glass of OJ and think about my years at KSU...and I will probably cry again.

I really think they should focus on Tech. Drive out to Lubbock and spend the week there. Come back on Friday and report what you have found out so I'll be best prepared for Saturday here in North Carolina.
