doyel @ kusports is exceptionally butthurt these days...

I used to work with him in Dallas. He's in general a good dude, but a complete Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) in regards to anything KSU/KU. He's also the easiest person to troll, in person or through email. Never tried online though...

Some of you guys are getting trolled pretty hard.

No. They actually believe this crap. Trust me, I was one of them.

yeah, if you read a ku board for any length of time, you can see that it's not trolling.

You could say the same thing about 2011 Alabama.

Yes, absolutely. Really hope Florida can knock them off in the SEC Championship.

KU is right on par with Notre Dame ... when it comes to adding additional conference revenue

ku's SOS in 07 was ranked 105th out of 119.  just saying.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Not really. Alabama was just a pretty good team that couldn't run the table. They were extremely fortunate that an OSU plane went down right before the team had to travel to Ames, IA for a trap game.

That was a damn good team in 2007. I will admit it. Best team to never, ever, ever, ever, win the Big 12 North.

I will always believe Perkins hired Gill in large part due to his race.  From what I understand Perkins is what used to be called a "limousine liberal" and I think he believed that Turner Gill being black would allow him to recruit black athletes at a higher success rate than a white coach.

This kind of thinking was fairly common 30 years ago, but I don't think it ever really proved to be true (although there is no question most staffs have black assistants who are known as top recruiters) and I don't think it has any validity these days.

I may be completely off base, but if so someone is going to have to give me another reason Perkins would consider Gill the coach to hire.  His resume certainly didn't make it so.

we've been over this.  KU was pretty good in '07.  Beat us at home.  credit where credit's due.  best team in several generations.

Two things to remember.  1) KU beat 1 team with a winning record (A&M); 2) KU didn't play the 3 best teams in the South (OU 10-2, UT 9-3, Tech 8-4).
