Hosting and traffic
« on: October 17, 2012, 07:37:41 PM »
So obviously the site is getting a ton of traffic.  If you need to upgrade hosting, or want to move onto a content delivery network for traffic spikes let me know. I've used quite a few providers and have a good deal of experience with shared/VPS/dedicated hosting.  Also, I have a CDN account sitting around that could be used to handle a lot of traffic.

If someone really does try to DDOS the site, check into turning on DDOS protection through CloudFlare.  I'm pretty sure I saw you guys were already using them for something.

There is no ddos'n goin on, we are on a VPS, dedicated would be good for this type of activity but not worth it for the other 363 days a year.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

Ok, well, I'm sure you have your reasons, but my clicker finger is getting really tired, and my scroller finger is getting kind of bored, so hopefully after the coal aggies leave we can go back to the way it was before.

Has anyone noticed that Rick Daris, Steve Dave and pissclams haven't been posting much or at all the past few days?  If this is what a successful coal aggie trolling leads to, I don't like it.  :frown:  It's not the BBS you guys, it's the people.  You win with people.

If any of those inbreeds touched a hair on Kent Wien's head, I swear to god almighty I will do some really terrible, awful things to them.

I keep getting "heavy stress on the server" issues when loading various places.

C'mon guys, get this mickey mouse operation back on track.
