So I just talked a little bit with a guy that played on the early 90s Snyder teams that happens to be one of my customers and a super nice guy.  Here are a few comments:

Funniest thing he ever heard Snyder say was after they barely beat a division II school, Snyder walked into the locker room and deadpanned, "If I see any one of you motherfuckers smile, I'm gonna blow my head off with a shotgun."

Also says Mangino was a complete dick and was very personal with his yelling, and believes everything the KU players said about him. 

Also says Bob Stoops was the best coach he ever had, citing that he was a hard ass between the lines, but outside of the lines treated everyone nicely.  He said he was just a "good guy".   

Also says Mike Stoops is a dick.

Jim Leavitt drank literally a 12 pack of diet Pepsi per day, and was brutally tough on our linebackers.

Also says that our offensive line is badass, especially loves Whitehair, and says it's all due to Charlie Dickey.  Also said that the reason our d-line hasn't been as stellar is Latimore's fault. 

Also says Joe Bob Clements and Mike Smith are both great dudes and Chad May was a complete arrogant bad person and he saw him once in a casino and avoided eye contact and walked by him without saying hello. 

Also says Dimel was a pretty good coach.

Was hoping for some really good Sean Snyder info but he had none. 

I will probe him for more info when I see him again in a few weeks.  Talking about early 90s K-State football gets me all excited and stuff.

He came to the bank my mom worked at. She said he wore an old school suit. The all important thing is that they got their office supplies from him.

I heard from an insidery insider ('97 ish) that Mike Stoops would scream at you if you looked him in the eye.

As for myself I saw Phil Bennett walking with his kids (I presumed) in Aggieville once and he said hi to me.   :excited:

My roomate was a walk on during 09 when snyder came back and told me that during the first meeting with the team a couple of guys including Banks were snickering and talking in the back. He said Snyder stopped what he was doing and just stared at them for a second. Like gave them the frank stare and then said " I'm only interested people that actually want to be here, If you don't care to pay attention there's the rough ridin' door. If your not going to put in the time now I dont want you, and you can rough ridin' leave."
Said everybody's jaw dropped, cause they all thought the same sweet old man trick he puts on the media.
