...Jordan Phillips and let this young man know playing in his home state for a legendary coach is an honor and a privilege. And if the state's best talent stays home, there's no limit on what can be accomplished.

The message needs to be sent loud and clear to the in-state kids that are leaving the state that ALL of their goals/dreams/ambitions can be accomplished right here at home...close to friends and family.

I say bring back the state of Kansas and American flag runners for pre-game. Giving guys that honor and having kids dream about doing that one day would be huge.

He can redshirt and sit a year. I believe Asprilla also could have had he not played some games in juco and just paid his own way at KSU or something.

Asprilla got one less year of eligibilty because he played at a juco. You're probably thinking about transferring within the conference, you do have to sit out 2 tears then.

thanks for picking ksu bryce. it's nice that the best in the country feels ksu is good enough for him. would be nice if some other "kstaters" would feel the same.

So we could have paid for Asprilla to have another year's eligibility and didn't?

Could Bennett have redshirted and retained a year's eligibility too when we didn't release him?

Entering college, the player has 5/4. Asprilla played 1 year at FIU and last year at Miami Dade. He didn't redshirt, he just left the team in the middle of a season. The only way possible he could be 4/3 would be if he applied for and received a medical hardship, which you can't even apply for until you have used your initial redshirt. If he is somehow able to retroactively use his redshirt at Miami Dade, he would be 3/3 at KSU but there is now way possible for him to be 4/3 as that would mean he had a 6 year window, which he doesn't. Also, just google it. There are numerous reports of him having 2 years of eligibilty remaining.

Anyone who doesn't know that the E16 has been behind Reggie Bush's mom receiving a house, Phillip Fulmer's firing over player scandals, Lane Kiffin's subsequent hiring, Pete Carroll's departure, Lane Kiffin's departing UT for USC all culminating in Bryce Brown's transfer to E16 stalwart KSU is absolutely kidding themselves.
