He's a pathetic excuse for a human being
, like most football coaches. He will be dead or retired soon enough. Or we will improve enough to prevent getting blown out in the first place.

I'm not a big sportsmanship advocate, but this is a game after all, with rules and customs and protections. Acting as if you're fighting a 12th century war and giving no quarter and asking for none kind of throws the rules of sportsmanship and the game itself out the window and invites a mere physical contest. If we're that pissed off, go after Klein or one of their players.

I guess I would ask them at what time in the 3rd quarter they want us to start taking knees?

them wanting the second string offense to kneal on it for the whole fourth quarter would be like asking some ku basketball walkons to not shoot the ball and just let the shot clock run out for the last five minutes of a game that they're winning by fifty against emporia state or something. nobody would expect that walk on to not shoot it or get mad if he did try to score. pretty ridiculous and not our fault that they are basically emporia state basketball to us if you ask me.

Kind of un-related to the topic, but seeing KU pull successful punt and fg fakes on the same drive against Snyder...who probably hasn't slept since Saturday because he's still pissed off....was freaking AWESOME.

If Snyder retires soon, we may never beat him again, but to de-pants him twice was truly joyful to watch. Kudos to Weiss and the team.

Moral victory!!!

Yes, ku handed us our asses when Charlie ran those boss fake punt / fake field goal plays.  We actually lost after those.

Is it really running up the score when you are actually about to run up the score? I mean jfc.

A lot of them talk about how we were running all day and it was a tricky way for us to run up the score and have an excuse. Would have that rathered we just throw the ball the whole fourth quarter since that wasn't as effective?  :jerk:

With two minutes left, KSU could have just kneed down. That would have been the classy move. They kept running the ball and they were trying for the endzone. Were they trying very hard? That's debatable. I don't know. It was over. The classy thing to do would have been to eat the clock and call it a game. I understand that they are trying to do two things, improve their ranking and Klien's Heisman candidacy. I just don't think there was any class to Snyder and I can't think of a time where Snyder didn't try to run up the score on KU. Maybe there was one time while Mangino was there his first season, but I kind of doubt it.

Had a KU fan on my facebook typing, in all caps, that Snyder was being a bad sport because he was still running read options in the fourth quarter.

We didn't throw a pass for the last 18 minutes of the game.  I'm not sure what else we could have done.

immediately punted every time we got the ball. :dunno:

because it seems like pretty much all ku fans had serious issues with our back up offense trying to run and execute plays in an actual game. i'll assume that their basketball walk ons will refuse to inbounds the ball for the last five minutes of a game the next time ku bball is beating some naia by fifty. because it sure seems like that's the norm and what ku fans expect. anything short of it would be trying to run it up on that poor naia team.

Aside from Klein sitting and Sams taking over the offense for the entire 4th quarter without attempting a single pass, this makes total sense.

We could have just had Sams set the ball on the ground and allowed KU to run it in for a score 2 or 3 times so the Jayhawks would feel better about themselves.

I get it.  When we were truly awful at basketball, I used to get unreasonably and illogically angry at stuff, too.

Maybe I'm just lucky that most of my bad ranting was behind a paywall and Twitter and Facebook weren't popular yet.

I wish Bill would just paste them like 84 - 17 sometime and they would understand what running it up even means. He didn't attempt a single pass in the 4th quarter...he played his spazz backup QB...and that isn't enough? Hilarious.

I'd like to see a season where we hang more points on them in FB that they do in BB.

Also, this is the way that I've always looked at it, and maybe I am wrong. The game may be over and out of hand, but our season isn't. I believe that Snyder just keeps calling plays because it's extra practice time. He believes in getting a little better everyday. Why waste the practice time? Just because the other team can't stop us, doesn't mean our offense can't practice the plays, sets, blocking schemes, etc.

Funny that ku fans don't understand that Bill want to keep Chuck around so he called the dogs off in the fourth. Remember Mangino's first year, I don't know 2002, that was running up the score to get Mangino fired because he knew he would not suck too much. Bill is sceaming ku to death right now.  :bill:
