I'm actually a fan of the small RC heli's. The problem is, they've gotten too good. I've had plenty of bad ones that don't fly quite right but it always made it more challenging to fly around and land on stuff without ramming into a wall. I got one for $20 last year that flies perfectly which was fun for a night or two, but not a challenge at all. I've flown bigger ones outdoors but those are a pain because you're constantly changing parts and fighting the wind is ok until a gust comes and smashes your toy into the ground.
