I'm looking forward to sitting smugly in an overland park bar hopefully with my squawk Dad and some old friends. Just smiling as the Cats cruise to victory.
My condolences 8manpick; I didn't know you were an abused child.
Pro Tip:  Keep up the EMAW in you and eventually the squawk will leave your soul; especially when you move out of the old man's house. :D

Thanks KD.  Although I've been out for a while.  Dad is about 40% EMAW now that bro8mp and I have graduated from EMAW University

Don't let your dad become a KSU Football fan/KU Basketball fan. Tell him it is all or nothing!
BTW, what is the KU rivalry like today in rugby? It was pretty bad back in the early '90's. We also hated the Blues back then, but now a bunch of the guys play with Blues and everything is cool from what I understand.

Dad would rather KU win, although, being a KU fan, it is wait for basketball season not football season.  He couldn't care less about football.

As for rugby, our college side is generally better than KU's college side, but they have a pretty full club side that is better than ours.  The last 3 collegiate matches have been 36-5 KU, 69-5 KSU, 50-0 KSU.  The Blues are about half K-State guys now, so not much rivalry.  Scott Kram is the new head coach, and Pete Winklebauer is an assistant.

We had a pretty good rivalry with an individual KU player. He mocked a KSU player who'd experienced a gran mal seizure that ended his career in an earlier KSU-KU game. Long and fantastic story made short, he received a broken orbital socket courtesy of 8manpick.

IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!
EDIT: I want to hear about that accident over a few beers sometime. Also, I played with Kram at KSUFRRFC. He is a great guy. I think Jackman mentioned in one of his newsletters that Scotty was the head coach, or I had heard it from someone else.

I'm not sure that it was an accident, but it was within the law.

I am looking forward to #Life getting to throw a few times.  In my mind I imagine #Life starting the second half for the Cats running a limited yet unstoppable package that is nice mix of long gains up the middle and dazzling passes thrown to open WRs.

Good for you 8manpick.  I noticed the squawk smell is so overpowered by your EMAW, that I hardy even notice it.

I haven't heard Joe Montgomery's replacement, not really excited, more just curious.

Also, I'm excited see a Klein to Harper TD.   :crossfingers:

Really just looking for the elite pageantry we don't get to experience during road games.  Really enjoy the Willie skits, like the time he tackled the guy dressed up like a squawk with a faux Governor's Cup.

Bought some DDP at Dillons today and it really got me amped up. Excited most that it's supposed to be in the 50's...  just feels right, yaknow?

It is really a shame that Turner didn't get a chance to visit the family stadium and experience our game day atmosphere, friendliness, and gracious fans. Maybe FB will txt him how awesome it is after Saturday just to let him know.
